We are adults who enjoy drawing and improving our skills in a low-key, non-competitive enironment. We've got a gem of a teacher -- a man who was just born to teach art -- and we hold our classes as a private group in the East Village.
Our teacher formerly taught at the YWCA's Craft Students' League, and is also an art teacher in the NYC school system.
He delights in teaching beginners to draw and is convinced that anyone who can hold a pencil can learn to draw. He has great enthusiasm, a deep knowledge of art, art-history, artistic techniques, etc. -- and on top of this he has a great sense of art as both serious and playful at the same time.
